Steel Symposium. Atelier Hung

My first time learning welding and grinding to create sculpture, playing with fire...
becoming a team member of this years steel symposium in Wildschönau, Tirol.

Based in Wildschönau ,Tirol, the metal smiths of Josef Feller is the location for a yearly creative production of steel sculptures to be placed on permanent exhibition, next to this lake 1700 meters above sea level; where skiers and hikers stop off for a culture vulture and a drink or two.

The preparation for the exhibition started in salzburg, drawing up plans with many discussions and developments. Atelier Hung is in his third year of the symposium after being commissioned to realise a musical quartet that is famous in the austrian valleys whilst Seppi Eder created a 5ft standing sculpture, the tallest of the symposium. If you take a trip up the local ski lifts you can see the sculptures surrounding the lake from now till decay, come rain and fall...even snow.

The 2012 international symposium consists of Seppi Eder (Austria), Hung (china), Vicky Frazer (U.K), Sami Creta (Egypt), Ute Kulzinger (Germany) with the aid of Josef Feller and his studio.
